And on the way to the digital factory of the future, reliable marking is indispensable - with high-quality ink or laser. At EuroBLECH 2022, REA Elektronik will be showcasing its systems from the REA JET product line, which work reliably even in the most adverse environments and on difficult surfaces.
Whether tubes, profiles, sheet metal or offcuts - in the modern factory, materials and workpieces must be able to reveal information so that people and digital systems can recognize them at any time, assign them and process them correctly. In addition to batch number and date, material properties and thickness as well as alloy are often important for individual traceability. Brand logos on metal parts convey the corporate image and are a quality promise for users.
A solution for every marking requirement
REA JET has a solution for each of these marking requirements. REA customizes the flexible systems in its contact-free marking product line to meet the user's individual needs and fit into their manufacturing environment. They work reliably and durably in all extremes - in the drafty factory hall as in great heat at the blast furnace, in rough, dirty production environments as in the filigree fine cut in the cleanest rooms, on the oily surface as on the workpiece that is up to 1,000 degrees hot.
With the REA JET TITAN Platform, the full-range supplier provides its customers with a helpful tool: All REA Coding and Marking Solutions can be controlled with this uniform operating concept. Employees only need to be trained once and can then use the TITAN Platform to operate all the REA JET Coding and Marking Systems used in the company.
Wet-on-wet printing: important information reliably and clearly readable
The REA JET HR High Resolution Inkjet Printer marks difficult-to-mark surfaces with the shortest drying time and the best adhesion and readability. Using innovative wet-on-wet printing technology, it prints machine-readable codes and plain text on smooth, metallic substrates - inline and pin-sharp. Its double print head first applies a white ink mirror, which it then immediately prints with black or colored ink. The two then dry together. The new technology offers users every opportunity to reliably mark even difficult-to-mark products with important information - and saves them the trouble of applying labels and the associated logistics and warehousing.
The fastest and most durable Large Character Inkjet Printer in its class
The REA JET DOD 2.0 Large Character Inkjet Printer is the fastest and most durable system in its class, delivering razor-sharp prints even in dusty and humid environments, vibration and extreme temperature fluctuations. Excellent, high-contrast print results are achieved through the use of pigmented inks. With fast-drying ink, it prints text, data or logos at speeds of more than 600 m/min on non-absorbent surfaces such as steel pipes or aluminum plates at heights of 5 to 140 mm per print head. Multiple print heads can be combined for larger-dimension marking. Its components are quickly exchanged. The user of the REA JET DOD 2.0 can thus quickly and easily switch between different marking tasks, such as different character heights or even inks, which can be found in a variety of colors and especially properties in the REA JET range.
From small to very large: marking on rough, oiled and hot surfaces
Fast and effective, the REA JET SC 2.0 Small Character Inkjet Printer with CIJ Technology prints on smooth and non-absorbent metallic surfaces, even in hard-to-reach places. With a vertical resolution of 48 pixels for up to eight lines, it prints alphanumeric texts, barcodes and 2D matrix codes in all languages and with all international character sets, which also dry in the shortest possible time. REA JET SC 2.0 Small Character Inkjet Printer is the most compact system in its class - robust, lightweight and of small dimensions. This, together with state-of-the-art interface technology - like all other REA JET systems - makes it easy to integrate into the existing production environment.
Captive marking with light
Wherever the marking is to be incorporated into the metallic surface, the REA JET FL fiber laser is used. With its intense light beam and an innovative, particularly compact focusing lens, it marks products with extremely small texts, codes and logos as well as with high resolution markings. Applied by engraving or annealing (color change of the material due to heating), marking with the fiber laser is permanently durable and ideal for harder metals such as stainless steel as well as for plastics but also for thin foils. Marking is possible without problems even on oily, corroded surfaces or on surfaces heated to more than 1,000 degrees.
Precise color marking
Color markings are indispensable for many industrial processes – whether for information on the quality and condition of the product, for production control or colored line marking for tubes, profiles or continuous goods. Precise marking of metallic surfaces with paints and lacquers is made possible by the REA JET ST marking technology solutions. If several spray mark heads are combined to form a marking block, high texts can also be printed - point by point and even in areas that are difficult to access and also at surface temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees Celsius. For the application of protective coatings, primers or process fluids for pre- or post-treatment of metallic surfaces, REA JET ST systems work over large areas.
